Intricate granulation details cover the front of this 18k gold locket. A classic Etruscan period technique, this locket also features a hand engraved message on verso "From Mother, Sept. 23 1879". Original frames and glass are intact. The locket has a lovely dark patina, highlighting the details. English in origin. Circa 1870.
